Snow was born and raised in Santa Maria, California, but also spent time in Albuquerque, New Mexico. She's been an actress since the age of 12, performing in local community and regional theater.
Snow entered college at the University of California, Irvine. After her first year of college, she answered an employment-advertisement for nude modeling. From there she moved on to pornography. She continued her education but changed her major to Business.
Despite her choice of career, she was initially very inexperienced sexually. She had performed in several smaller gonzo porn scenes and Pro-Am films featured online when she first started, but she has recently focused more on traditional, plot-based 'feature' films. One of her first 'professionally' made as well as distributed movies was titled More Dirty Debutantes 152, produced by Ed Powers. Her stage name derives from her two favorite childhood fairy tale characters, Princess Aurora from Sleeping Beauty and Snow White.
She has also moved into directing and is a hostess on Playboy TV. Her directorial debut is Assploitations, later followed by a fairy tale type movie called Perverted Tales. She directs hardcore anal films.
Snow appeared in a cameo in the Judd Apatow film Superbad with fellow pornographic actress Jenna Haze. She also made an uncredited masked cameo in the film The Rules of Attraction.
In 2009 Snow's biography was released in comic book form by Carnal Comics in Aurora Snow: True Stories of Adult Film Stars.
The fourth child of her British and French parents, Aurora was born Rebecca Claire Kensington on November 26, 1981 in Montpelier, Vermont. When Rebecca was a toddler, her parents divorced. Her mother remarried and Rebecca's new stepfather, Raymond Nordell, relocated the family to Nottingham, England, where they had four more children. Rebecca became obsessed with Sleeping Beauty (1959), and especially, the main character, Princess Aurora. Rebecca developed a keen interest in ballet and the performing arts as a preteen. After graduating from high school at sixteen, Rebecca moved to New York, changed her name to Aurora and attended the American Academy of Dramatic Arts. She dropped out after attending for only one year and moved to Los Angeles to become a model/actress. When she couldn't jump-start her acting or modeling career, her agent suggested she get into porn. At first it was frightening for young Aurora. Homeless and desperate, she finally agreed to do a nude modeling shoot for "Hustler" after a long telephone conversation and consolation with porn queen Jenna Jameson. Currently, Aurora has starred in 60 feature films with an extensive contract with Sin City Entertainment.
