(born Dorothea Patton) is an American pornographic actress who has appeared in many XXX-rated films during the late 1970s and the 1980s.
Dorothiea H. Patton was born and raised in Radford, Virginia. She attended high school in Hopewell, where, as a teenager, she won a number of beauty pageants, including "Miss Hopewell High School" and "Miss Southside Virginia". Under the influence of Ken Yontz, her second-husband-to-be, she ran several adult bookstores in the 1970s, until they moved to Las Vegas. While there, she did her first nude layout before eventually returning to Virginia. The layout brought an offer to shoot her first short film of pornography in Baltimore while still a teenager. Patton and Ken Yontz subsequently moved to Los Angeles, where she devoted herself to the pursuit of her career in porn, initially using the name "Sweet Alice", as well as "Linda Grasser" .
She eventually adopted the screen name Seka, after the name of a female blackjack dealer in Vegas whom she knew. She went on to star in more than two hundred porn films with "a break" in 1982, when, she stopped shooting porn films, claiming "they wouldn't pay her what she wanted," and turned to stripping and nude modeling while also running her own fan club. Subsequently, she also admitted that the HIV epidemic in the mid-1980s contributed to her choosing to stay away from the hardcore sex scene ("That's why I don't make movies any more...I like to live"). By the early '90s, she had returned to the porn industry to perform in a few final movies, her last being American Garter.
Jamie Gillis, who performed with Seka in numerous films, believed that she was "a bit above porn" describing her as a "white trash queen." Of her fellow performers, Seka lists her favorite male screen partners as John C. Holmes, Mike Ranger, Paul Thomas and Jamie Gillis. In terms of female screen partners, she rates her favorites as Veronica Hart, Aunt Peg, Kay Parker and Candida Royalle.
